Auditorium Mission
The Round Lake Auditorium is dedicated to the preservation of the Ferris Tracker Organ and the historic building in which it resides. As a potential National Landmark and a museum, located within an historic district, it provides programs that impart the rich narrative of its own remarkable and meaningful background. As a viable performing arts center with historic significance and extraordinary acoustics, the auditorium showcases artistic work that includes but is not limited to: Music, Theatre, Film, Dance, Poetry, Radio, Lectures, Seminars, Art, and Organ Concerts with a focus on classical programs as well as new works. Additionally, programs that emphasize the ecology and natural surroundings of Round Lake, as well as the history of Round Lake, the Auditorium and the Ferris Tracker Organ are principal. As a structure that supports the well being of its community, the Round Lake Auditorium offers a place for residents to gather for holidays, celebrations and artistic, educational and social programs that nuture youth, family and community. Programs that bring together students to be mentored by professionals are encouraged, and the investment in community is held as primary importance.
